Bistrot Paul Bert: Reviews & Ratings
Very bustling busy place. They didn’t cook my steak to medium rare like requested . It was rare but it was delicious. Sauce and fries needed salt but once I added it !!! 9/10 very delicious. They accommodated me very quickly and as a solo traveler I’m super grateful. This meal was great and so was my wine.
Bistrot Paul Bert’s famous pepper beef filet definitely lives up to expectations. My pepper steak was cooked to perfection and drenched in a gloriously rich pepper sauce. The French fries were equally excellent but served in a quite tiny portion unfortunately. Service was nice and efficient. Be sure to reserve your table - They take bookings via phone only tho…
The soufflé was excellent, the steaks we had were okay, but nothing special. Our server had a slight meltdown when we suggested we wanted a €40 wine that was medium bodied. Apparently this was a very challenging request, but probably because she wanted us to spend €60 for a bottle. Silly people. The wine she eventually approved us to have was good and matched the food well (and cost €40). Not a challenge at all. Generally good and a traditional atmosphere, but overpriced compared to other restaurants and for the quality of meat.
